Topography measures
the eye's front curves called the cornea. The
Kurtin Eye Center uses the 'Wavefront' topographer as used in vision
surgery.
'Wavefront' mapping tells us how much aberration is within your eyes.
Aberration needs to be corrected as much as possible to get best vision.
Top left image shows curve of eye before CRT--note the orange and yellowish
areas called astigmatism (a type of 'aberration'). Bottom left image shows intial
cornea change from CRT (light blue). Right image shows the maximal change
to correct vision after CRT (even smoothing of cornea all dark blue).
